RAMBAN-Dec 9: A meeting of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union, Unit BHEP Chanderkote (Ramban) was held today under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari.
In the meeting, a large number of workers participated and discussed various demands related to the payment of retrenchment compensation to the quantity and supply workers of BHEP.
The participants stressed upon the executing agency of BHEP to consider the quantity and supply workers for retrenchment compensation at par with the daily wagers of the company as the quantity and supply workers have also worked hard into the execution of BHEP stage I & II and the work of nature was same.
Joginder Bhandari, chairman of the union, urged upon the executing agency M/s Jaiprakash Associates to provide payment of retrenchment compensation to the quantity and supply workers of BHEP.
Those attended the meeting, included Bashir Khan, Mohd Amin Khatri, Tariq Ahmed Patri, Anil Sharma, Mohd Khalil Tapal, Ghulam Hussain Gannie, Javed Sheikh, Mohd Ashraf Gannie and others.
