JAMMU, Sept 16: Displaying its commitment to nurturing young leaders, Chinar Primary School, the Junior Wing of Sainik School Nagrota organized a function here today in school premises. Punita Jain, Zonal President, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) White Knight presided over the occasion as the chief guest. The annual event of appointing members of the Student Council was organized at the School Auditorium.
Parveen Akhtar A Desai, Headmistress delivered the opening address highlighting the academic and other pursuits and the latest initiatives undertaken by the school. The chief guest presented sash and tabs to the newly appointed members of the Student Council.
The elected student council were Head Girl, Aaruhi Pandita, Head Boy, Avish Raina, Deputy Head Boy, Vihaan Raina and Deputy Head Girl, Pragya Pandita.
The chief guest also unveiled the school magazine “The Blossoms” which carries the theme “Panch Tatva – the five elements”, the chief guest appreciated the student appointments and expressed her deep appreciation for the initiative undertaken by Chinar Primary School to imbibe leadership qualities in children at the very prime of their life. Further, Captain AK Desai, Chairman CPS felicitated the special invitees Kapil Singh Manhas, Inspector, J&K Police.
