This has reference to the news item ‘China may block move on Azhar’ DE Oct 31, 2017.
China has time and again blocked the move of the Security Council to designate JeM Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. The action of China tantamounts to promoting terrorism in the world. On one side China claims to be against global terrorism by condemning terror related incidents. Besides, during BRIC Conference in Beijing, China vehemently opposed Pakistan for promoting terror.
On the other hand, China comes to rescue of Pakistan whenever Security Council takes up the issue of Masood Azhar. This duplicity in diplomacy and foreign relations is quite responsible for nation’s like Pakistan to indulge in activities which are deterimental to peace and prosperity. Had China restrained Pakistan from abetting terrorism, the Asian Sub-Continent would not have fallen into the present crisis.
Almost every country is terror infested and nobody feels safe. In this highly volatile atmosphere, it is quite necessary that all countries take initiatives for peace, and those who fail to do so, be censured. Otherwise this planet may become a difficult place to live on.
