UDHAMPUR, May 28: Forest Protection Force seized scants and logs of Chir (longleaf Indian pine tree) measuring 111.93 cft along with a mechanical cutter in Ramnagar.
On receipt of specific information, team of Forest Protection Force, Gamma Unit J-5 Udhampur, comprising of Dy Inspector Anil Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Anil Kumar Khajuria and Rajinder Sharma (Guards), seized six number of Green Chir scants and two logs of Green Chir along with one mechanical cutter and axe in compartment number 14b, beat Sonara, block Barmeen and Range Ramnagar North.
The seizure was made as per the provisions of Section 52 of Indian Forest Act, said an official spokesperson.
