UDHAMPUR, July 1: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today placed Community Health Officer (CHO), Pancheri under suspension for dereliction of duty.
Official sources said that Deputy Commissioner Udhampur along with Chief Planning Officer and other district officials today paid surprise visit to Pancheri to monitor and ascertain functioning of Health Institutions of the area. During visit to Pancheri Hospital, he found Community Health Officer (CHO), B S Khajuria absent from duty.
On checking attendance register, it was found that CHO had marked himself as `on tour’ in the area, whereas, while inquiring on telephone, it was found that Khajuria was at Udhampur town. Taking serious note of it, the DC directed for action.
“You have acted in a irresponsible manner, unbecoming of a Government servant and this act of yours is a serious dereliction of your legitimate duties. In view of this, you are placed under suspension and attached in the Primary Health Centre, Latti till further orders,” the order said.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Chenani, Parvez Naik has been directed to conduct an inquiry and submit report to the District Administration within 7 days.
