Chopra conferred ‘Bharat Jyoti Award’

page5-4JAMMU, Aug 31: Mohinder Kumar Chopra, Director J&K State Financial Corporations, has been conferred with `Bharat Jyoti Award’ by the ex-Chief Election Commissioner of India,   Krishnamurthy, at the India International Center in New Delhi.
“Bharat Jyoti Award” has been instituted by the India International Friendship Society to honour persons for their extraordinary contribution towards the society in their respective fields.
Mr Chopra was awarded for his distinguished contribution in the financial sector for the last thirty-years. He has been independent director on the boards of State Financial Corporations of J&K, Punjab and Haryana for nearly thirty-years and still continues to be the director of Haryana and Punjab State Financial Corporations.
The past recipients of the award from the State include former J&K Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussian Baig and former Finance Minister A R  Rather.
