JAMMU, Nov 8: Samvedna Society Chairman, Keshav Chopra here today organised an Aadhaar Enrolment Camp for children of Shelter Home for Boys, Trikuta Nagar.
These children were rescued by the Child Protection team during the drive launched by District Task Force Jammu under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jammu.
These children were involved in begging and child labour and some of these were already studying in schools and required Aadhaar Card for further admission and other purposes.
Speaking on the occasion, Keshav Chopra said that motive of organizing Aadhaar Camp was to ensure proper rehabilitation of these children and for their enrolment in schools and for further studies.
A handout stated that to avail the benefits of government sponsored schemes Aadhaar Card is mandatory and the mission of Samvedna Society is to work for the needy sections of the society.
Protection Officer at Institutional Care, Sheraz Malik, Co-ordinator at Shelter Home for Boys Trikuta Nagar, Mehar-Ul-Nissa, Taranjeet Kour, Ashima Sharma of Child Helpline, Social Worker at Shelter Home, Ajmer Singh Bali, Educators-Komal Verma and Babli Sharma, Operational Manager Adhaar Sewa Kendra Jammu, Peer Mubashir Shah, Operator, Rahul Kumar and others were also present in the Camp.
