RAJOURI, Sept 30: National Conference leader, Choudhary Liaqat Ali conducted a tour of Keri Khwas and Kanthol areas of the district and took stock of the problems being faced by the inhabitants.
In his 2-day tour, the NC leader toured many areas of Keri Khwas and Kanthol, held public meetings, interacted with the people and listened to their problems.
While speaking in a public meeting in his 2-day tour, Choudhary Liaqat Ali said that he would do all his best to provide at the earliest free 50 kg ration announced by the State Government to the flood affected people.
He said the people of these areas have suffered severe loss in the recent floods and many have become homeless. He appealed the Government and its various agencies responsible for relief and rehabilitation of flood affected, to provide cash relief besides tents, ration, LPG Gas, medicines and other necessary things to the affected people without any delay.
The NC leader also criticized the local MLA for discriminating with Keri Khwas and Kanthol areas. He said he is wondered that in this modern era these areas even lack basic amenities like roads, electricity, drinking water, schools and dispensaries.
