Chowkidar among two found dead

JAMMU, Dec 22: A chowkidar was among two persons who were today found dead in separate places in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, at about 9.30 this morning the dead body of a man namely Devinder Singh (44) alias Pappi son of Bimmu Ram, a resident of Ambaran, was found dead at Super Bazaar in Akhnoor town. He said that the deceased man was night chowkidar and was deployed in the market. “The man seems to have died due to chill or cardiac arrest”, the spokesman said, adding after conducting post mortem at SDH Akhnoor the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, the dead body of a youth identified as Vijay Kumar (22) son of Subrium Muneem, resident of Madras, at present residing in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, was found this morning near Shiv Dham Temple, Canal Road. The spokesman said that the youth was a habitual drunkard and left his home some time ago. “After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he said, adding, in both cases the concerned police have initiated inquest proceedings.
