Christian body slams RSS chief

JAMMU, Feb 25: JK Christian Minority Welfare Association has in strong words condemned the RSS chief over the continuous targeting  the peace loving Christian community.
Michael Wazir president of the Association said the remarks made by Mohan Bhagwat in Rajasthan on Monday that conversion to Christianity was the main objective behind Mother Teresa’s to the destitute was rubbish and quite unfortunate that the service of such a world renowned noble prize laureate and Bharat Ratna awardees being dragged into unwarranted controversies’
It is great insult to Mother Teresa and to the whole Christian community and all who she served. She never hoped that those who are serving will convert into Christianity. She had selfless love for the people in her heart and any attempt to malign her image was inhuman.
Nasir Masih chairman of the Association said Mr. Bhagwat’s comment as reflective of a prejudiced mindset and sought action against people like Bhagwat for making such assertion.
Further Nasir Masih said cutting across religious and caste barriers people considered Mother Teresa as a living saint who never had any agenda other than serving the down trodden and RSS should have spared her from making such remarks.
