Christmas celebrated with fervour

JAMMU, Dec 25: Christmas was celebrated across Jammu region with great fervour and zeal.
Christmas was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety at Peepal Tree School. Students attired as Santa Claus sang Christmas carols and also danced to the tune of “Jingle Bells”.
KIDZEE, Gandhi Nagar celebrated Christmas with great fanfare and enthusiasm. Managing Director Parneesh Mahajan, Nishant Jandial, Liaison Officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra and Coordinator Ankur in their speech threw light on the importance of the day. Students were dressed as Santa Claus.
Kids Planet School, Akhnoor celebrated third annual prize distribution function, on the eve of Christmas. The programme started with lightening of lamp by Chairperson Rohit Gupta and Principal Mona Gupta. On the occasion, students presented various cultural items and also danced on the tunes of “Jingle Bells”. After cultural event, award of best grand parents was awarded to and Shyam Lal, best mother award to Smriti Rana and best parents award to and Nirmal Singh Chouhan.
Convener, Family Welfare Organisation (FWO) of 16 Corps Army Rashmi Hooda today visited 166 Military Hospital and celebrated Christmas with patients, attendants and staff. She flanked by Sushma Harjai, Convener, FWO, 166 Military Hospital and Brigadier MM Harjai, Commandant, 16 Corps met patients and also distributed sweets among them.
The ladies of Air Force Station Jammu celebrated Christmas with great fervour and gaiety. On the occasion, Mamata Patange, President, Air Force Wife Welfare Association (AFWWA), Air Comrade PE Patange, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jammu and locals were also present. Kids were dressed as Santa and fairies. Carols rent the air and residents soaked into the yuletide spirit partying, dancing and digging into cakes with the family members and friends. Children also participated in various competitions. Prizes were distributed to the winners by Mamta Patange.
The women wing of Hindustan Shiv Sena celebrated Christmas with the down trodden people at party office. On the occasion, K Shivani Rao, city president of the Women Wing along with Chander Kanta Kohli and Bhanu Kohli distributed sweets, clothes and blankets among needy people.
Christmas was celebrated at Vridh Ashram and Bal Ashram by New Young Blood Organization. On the occasion, Chairman Ashok Verma, Manohar Lal Saraf and Ramesh Tak distributed fruits, sweets and warm clothes among the inmates.
