Christmas celebrated with zeal by various educational institutions

JAMMU, Dec 25: Christmas was celebrated with great pomp and show by various educational institutions across Jammu region.
G D Goenka Public School Jammu celebrated Christmas with great fervor and zeal. The entire school vibrated with the echoes of Christmas carols. The school campus wore a festival look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. All the kids charmed one and all with their performances. The shimmering dresses added more beauty to the little girls and saw the grand entry of the little Santa Claus with his gifts in red glittering bag waving and distributing candies to everyone’s delight.
The festival was also celebrated with great zeal at DS Heritage Scholars School, Barwal Morh, Kathua. Junior and senior wing girls and boys participated with great enthusiasm in the function and performed carols and prayers. The little students of the school were dressed as Santa Claus. Teachers presented the carol and distributed cakes, toffees and gifts to students.
Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua organized a function to celebrate Christmas in Sunrise Public School Jammu which is a Missionary Education Center for the under privileged children. Students of Jammu Sanskriti School visited there, spend quality time with the little children and make merry with Christmas carols and small games. Dressed as Santa, the students of Jammu Sanskriti School distributed chocolates, toffees, biscuits, juices to all the kids. They also gifted notebooks, pens, pencils, etc to the unprivileged children.
The festival was celebrated at Indira Memorial Academy (IMA), R S Pura by organizing a special morning assembly. Students presented beautiful Christmas songs. The event was graced by Father Binnuvi, Father of Prathana Bhawan Church, R S Pura. The main attraction of the day was Santa Claus which danced with the students and distributed sweets.
Lord Mahavira Playway School, Shiv Nagar Jammu celebrated Christmas with great pomp and splendor. The day’s proceedings began with the invocation of the almighty through a prayer which was preceded by an action song performed by the tiny tots of Pre Primary. Melodious and heart touching Carols echoed in the campus. A special play that communicated the meaning of Christmas was enacted beautifully by the students of class 3rd. The students of class 1st sang Jingle Bells while Santa Claus distributed sweets to the children.
Christmas was celebrated in a modest but colourful ceremony in the premises of Cradle to Crayons, Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu. The lawns and the Christmas Tree were decorated by the kids with the bells, stars and glittering toys. The carols were sung and the students were told about Jesus and his message of truth, sacrifice and righteousness.
