JAMMU, Aug 16: Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs, who was on a week long visit of Kashmir Valley, met a number of people from various segments of the society in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Bandipur, Pulwama and Budgam districts.
He toured areas in Civil Lines, Rajbagh, Humhama Sheikhpura-Budgam, Nigin-Gupkar circle, Shankeracharya temple, Sumbal, Mata Kheerbhawani Asthapan and Gopinath Bab Ashram in Downtown Kharyar, Habbakadal.
Chrungoo said that the post Article370 abolition scenario speaks that the people of the Valley feel happy over the action taken by the Government against the mainstream politicians for their scams, embezzlement and irregular appointments in the Government departments. It was a major cause of happiness among the common people who felt deceived by these politicians.
As the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has categorically expressed his view regarding creation of carrier opportunities and professional engagements of the youth, the Government will provide a large opportunity in the days to come, he said . The Government should be expected to treat both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir at par and Ladakh will have independent plans about peace, welfare and development.
Chrungoo cautioned the public not to be swayed by any mischievous propaganda which certain vested interests with a negative mindset are trying to use as a weapon to disturb the calm. In this connection, he informed that some urban Nexalites have made their entry into the Kashmir Valley over the past one week and are trying to instigate the common people against the Government and the Parliament.
Chrungoo had an elaborate meeting with the inmates of the Pandit colony at Sheikhpura.
