JAMMU, Jan 11: The senior BJP and KP leader and incharge Department of Political Affairs and Feedback JK BJP, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo has demanded issuance of certificates to non speaking Kashmiri Hindus so that they can participate in the recruitment process under PM’s employment package.
In a letter to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha here, today Chrungoo sought his intervention in the matter and urged him to issue directives to Revenue authorities to issue the necessary bonafide certificates to all such candidates who desire to apply for the same.
He said if these non speaking Kashmiri Pandits are not provided certificates it would be a travesty of justice and great discrimination, he added.
Chrungoo said the non-Kashmiri speaking Hindu aspiring youth have not been provided the required certificates by the authorities in the Kashmir Valley under the pretext that they were not Kashmiri Pandits. I brought the GoI circular in this regard to the notice of the higher authorities and also pursued the matter at various levels, but there was no clear cut policy adopted by the authorities in this respect.
He said the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, the respective Deputy Commissioners and the Relief Commissioner may specifically be directed to issue the necessary instructions in this regard.
