Core Group discusses political, organizational issues

JAMMU, Mar 16: Core Group of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, met here today and discussed current political as well as organizational issues in the Union Territory.

Tarun Chugh, BJP National General and In-charge J&K, attended the meeting and led threadbare discussions on the current socio-political situation in J&K, including ongoing budget session of the Legislative Assembly.
Sources in the party circles told the Excelsior that Chugh suggested senior BJP leaders to closely monitor the Assembly Session and guide newly elected legislators for their more effective role as opposition inside the House.
He also advised the party leaders to thoroughly study the J&K budget presented by the NC Government and analyse its social and economic consequences on various sections like youth, and needy as well as on tourism, business, industry and investments in the region.
Chugh also discussed the issue of Daily Wagers, need based workers, NYCS and others in detail, said a BJP spokesperson.
Besides Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma CA; Shrikant Sharma, MLA Mathura & Sangathan Parv Observer J&K; Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization) mainly addressed theCore Group meeting.
Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, BJP National Secretary & MLA Dr. Narinder Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy CMs Dr Nirmal Singh & Kavinder Gupta, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Vibodh Gupta, Dr Darakshan Andrabi, Shakti Raj Parihar, Advocate Sunil Sethi, Girdhari Lal Raina, and others participated in the meeting.
According to the sources, organizational matters, particularly formation of the district bodies and election of the office bearers were on agenda of the core group and the party leaders held through discussion on it.
Shrikant Sharma, in his address, discussed the importance of an inclusive society which cares for all with the participation of all and suggested the observance of ‘Bihar Diwas’ with enthusiasm.
Sat Sharma led the discussion on ongoing programmes like ‘One Nation, One Election’, birth centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He pressed for the stupendous and vigorous role of party cadre in carrying the message to the various sections of society.
Ashok Koul discussed the future party programmes to be held in these days and presented details of such events, scheduled to be held in the coming days.
Earlier, senior party leaders held meetings with the Presidents of organizational Districts prompting them to hold all the organizational programmes at the ground level.
