SRINAGAR, Oct 6: Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir (HWSK), a representative body of non-migrant Hindus of Valley, today elected Chuni Lal as its new president.
According to a statement, the HWSK elected Chuni Lal as its new president after oral voting during the meeting of general body. “The senior vice-president ML Zutshi proposed the name of Chuni Lal as its new president which was unanimously agreed and accepted by all the members by voice vote,” the statement issued by HWSK General Secretary read.
Earlier in the meeting held, the members felt the need to reshuffle the body by way of giving new shape. On the occasion, AK Ganjoo was elected as General Secretary.
