JAMMU, Jan 6: Channi Himmat Vikas Manch (CHVM) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its convener Ashutosh Gupta, which was attended by senior citizens and social activists of Channi Himmat and adjoining areas.
In the meeting, the participants condemned the dastardly and cruel act of terrorism by Pakistan trained terrorists who attacked Pathankot Air Force base.
Later, the participants took out a candle march throughout the adjoining localities of Channi Himmat from Police Line Chowk Channi Himmat upto Green Belt Park-7 and expressed solidarity with brave soldiers who attained martyrdom. Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs by observing two minute silence.
Ashutosh Gupta exhorted the citizens to be alert to thwart enemy’s nefarious designs by maintaining a constant State of vigil. He urged the patriotic citizens to identify themselves with the cause of the soldiers.
Present on the occasion were Captain Lalit Sharma, NMC chief Subash Shastri, Ramakant Sharma, Khem Raj, Saurab Jandial, Bupesh Khajuria Sachin Gupta, HL Mehra, Ashok Dogra, Rattan Lal Chander, etc.
