JAMMU, Feb 6: Rahul Sahai, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), J&K State Council and Managing Director, Sahai Group of Companies, along with Rajesh Sharma, Director, SRA Food Beverages Private Limited and CII secretariat called upon Hemant Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu today in his office.
Sahai briefed the Divisional Commissioner on various initiatives taken by CII in J&K and how CII has been interacting with policy makers, administrators and academicians to evolve consensus on policy approach for development of tourism, trade, industry and overall economy of the State.
He apprised Divisional Commissioner about various initiatives taken last year by CII, be it E-Rural Mela for making every village a digital place, multiple seminars on GST in Jammu, launch of 2 night service ambulances for districts Bandipora and Baramulla, awareness session on cold chain, CII J&K Golf Tournament, CII Corporate Cricket Tournament and CII Mega Health Checkup Camp.
Hemant Kumar appreciated the initiatives taken by CII and also suggested that the CII members’ companies should come forward and contribute in the sectors like education, healthcare, IT and work towards making a better public transport system. He laid stress on PPP mode in public transport.
Rahul Sahai on behalf of CII J&K State Council pledged full support and cooperation to the Government.
