CII delegation calls on Advisor to Governor

JAMMU, Aug 12: A delegation Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) led by Rajesh Sharma, Vice Chairman CII J&K State Council called upon K Vijay Kumar, Advisor to Governor and apprised him of the issues being faced by Industrial members.
The issues discussed were primarily related to Industry as, hazardous waste dumping ground to dump the industrial waste generated from the industries, ESI Hospital in Samba to cater to the healthcare requirements of industrial workforce, putting registered leisure and sports facility at par with health and education which are exempted from GST regime, fixed term employment to enable employees to be treated equitably and fairly in every aspect, fortified wheat flour should be exempted from the purview of GST as has been done in case of milk, introduction of early morning flight to New Delhi from Jammu & late evening flight from New Delhi to Jammu, providing night landing facilities at Jammu & Srinagar Airports.
Mr Kumar gave a patient hearing to all the issues and assured speedy and timely action on the issues highlighted by CII members.
Delegation comprised of Rahul Sahai, Sanjay Puri, Alim Khan, Archit Puri, Arjun Choudhary and Vivek Bhardwaj.
