JAMMU, July 20: Archit Puri, Chairman, CII J&K, along with Members of CII J&K UT Council, called on Kishore Singh Chib, Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu today and discussed various issues related to Industrial development and ease of doing business in UT of J&K.
Some of the key and significant issues discussed during the meeting, were the extensions of Provisional Registration to Industrial Units under the New Policy and the problem faced by the industry regarding court fees/stamp duty as per SRO 241 on the collateral offered to the bank by the industrial units.
Director Industries also agreed that the issues should be resolved, and the department will do its best to help industries resolve the issues they face.
In the meeting, Kishor also asked CII J&K to submit detailed representations related to the highlighted issues of Provisional Registration and Stamp Duty. Archit Puri assured him that the renewed and detailed representations of the issues shall be submitted to the Department of Industries and Commerce.
