JAMMU, Oct 19: A delegation Confederation of India Industries (CII) led by Rajesh Sharma, vice chairman J&K State Council called upon BB Vyas, Advisor to Governor here today and projected various issues.
The delegation apprised him about the issues being faced by Industrial members and requested him to take up the concern. The delegation apprised him about the issues being faced by Industrial members and requested him to take up the concern which primarily includes need of hazardous waste dumping ground to dump the industrial waste generated from the industries, ESI Hospital in Samba to cater the healthcare requirements of industrial workforce and their dependents, to reduce GST rate on almond kernels from 12 % to 5 %, delay in clearance of vehicles carrying Industrial goods at Lakhanpur toll post, revising the distance limit for claiming the transport subsidy provided to the industries for the export of finished goods, road connectivity to the industrial area of Kangrail Block, Bhalwal, Road and sanitation facilities in Transport Nagar, amending the ratio of Labour force in the industries, extending the scope of benefit of budgetary support provided to the industries in lieu of 2 % CST, toll exemption on the import of walnut kernels in J&K, reducing the GST bracket of packed fruit juices from 12 % to 5 %.
Vyas gave a patient hearing to all the issues and assured speedy and timely action on the issues highlighted by CII members.
