JAMMU, Mar 22: A delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K, led by Dr M A Alim, met Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, at his official residence in Jammu today.
During the meeting, Dr Alim apprised Wani of key concerns affecting CII members and discussed various initiatives planned for industrial and economic growth in J&K. The discussions covered critical issues such as reforms in the Fire and Emergency Department, skill development, job creation for youth, and the need for a new industrial policy tailored to the region’s challenges.
Dr Alim emphasized the necessity of a strategic approach to strengthening the industrial ecosystem and ensuring sustainability. He also offered CII’s institutional support through its Centers of Excellence in areas such as water management, sustainability, and green building development to promote sustainable growth in the region.
Wani assured full Government support in addressing the genuine concerns raised by CII and encouraged the delegation to submit a formal proposal for any developmental initiatives. He assured that the Government would facilitate their implementation through the relevant departments.
Khurshid Dar, Head of CII J&K and Ladakh, was also present at the meeting.
