JAMMU, Nov 7: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), today hosted an MSME Clinic, providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to engage with industry experts, Government officials, and financial institutions.
The event aimed to address the pressing challenges faced by MSMEs in the region while exploring opportunities for growth and development.
The clinic featured a series of comprehensive discussions on critical aspects of MSME development.
Anil Kumar, Deputy General Manager at SIDBI, delivered a detailed presentation on the various financial schemes and support available to MSMEs, offering guidance on how businesses can access the necessary funding to scale their operations.
In addition to financial access, the event also focused on employee benefits, with Jatinder Kumar, Senior Branch Manager at LIC, sharing valuable insights into employee gratuity programs and group pension schemes.
He emphasized the importance of financial planning and employee welfare as key components of a successful business strategy.
Government initiatives designed to support MSMEs were also highlighted, with G Velladurai, Joint Director at the MSME Department, providing an overview of various schemes and programs available at the national and state levels.
In his opening address, MA Alim, Vice Chairman of CII J&K, stressed the importance of collaboration, innovation, and resource access in driving MSME growth in Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged businesses to explore new opportunities, adapt to changing market conditions, and work together to overcome challenges.
The clinic was coordinated by Shivang Mahajan, Co-Convener of CII J&K’s MSME Panel, who ensured that the event remained focused on practical solutions.
He emphasized that the clinic provided MSME owners with a unique opportunity to interact directly with experts and Government officials, allowing them to seek tailored advice on their specific challenges.
Throughout the day, the clinic also featured several interactive sessions on business resilience, digital transformation, and credit access.
A dedicated Q&A segment allowed MSME owners to ask questions and receive personalized guidance on issues ranging from financial management to technological innovation.
