Citizens Forum urges Governor to get work on Jammu projects expedited

JAMMU, May 30: President of the Citizen’s Forum, R K Chadha today urged Governor Satya Pal Malik to get work on some important Jammu Projects expedited besides revisiting others so that Jammu becomes self sufficient in terms of civic, infrastructure and tourism development amenities .
Mr Chadha was speaking in a meeting, which was attended by prominent citizens drawn from different walks of life. He said that the Forum was not against any party, elected leaders or previous Governments but only wants Jammu’s development at equal basis.
He stressed for restoration and upgrading Government schools’ infrastructure, which require a professional treatment to give children a better atmosphere. “Mohalla Clinics be made fully functional at par with the standard of Mohalla Clinics in New Delhi, separate Jammu Tourism Development Corporation be established with separate and equal funds,” he said and also demanded speeding up Mubarak Mandi renovation, ease of licenses to Radio Taxies like OLA and UBER, multi-tier parking, beautification of Bahu Plaza, etc
Mr Chadha suggested that J&K Bank can be roped in to spend money under CSR for these projects. Those present on the occasion, included former ADGP S S Wazir , Dr R Madan, former Chief Engineer Arun Sharma, R K Handa, Ashok Parihar, Veena Handa, K K Khosa and others.
