Indian at Heart
Every time I think about India’s Independence Day, I realize the deep similarities between the modern and contemporary history of India and my home country, Korea.On August 15, 1945, exactly two years before India’s independence, Korea became independent from Japan. And unfortunately, after independence, both India and Korea had to experience the pain of division. Just as India and Pakistan were divided over religious issues, capitalist South and communist North Korea were divided over differences in political ideology. And both countries are still in a state of division. As I celebrate India’s 78th anniversary, I hope that both India and Korea will overcome the pain of past history and achieve a bright future together.

As we celebrate India’s 78th Independence Day, let’s reflect on how to make our freedom truly meaningful. Today, corruption is a major reason why India remains a developing nation. From education to government departments, corruption is a serious threat to our progress. The recent NEET exam scam and various recruitment scandals show how deep this problem runs. Corruption erodes trust, stifles economic growth, and deepens inequality. To honor the sacrifices made for our freedom, we must tackle corruption head-on. This means implementing transparent systems, enforcing strict laws, and ensuring a strong judicial system to hold wrongdoers accountable. Citizens must also refuse to engage in corrupt practices and demand honesty from their leaders.By working together, we can build a nation where independence means prosperity and fairness for everyone. Awakening of the masses in the Indian society is the utmost need of the hour. The hierarchical stratification status thinking of the society and its division into different layers should be nulled by the Indian masses and an approach should be developed by the people of society for the formulation of laws that should smoothen the barriers for wholesome forwarding of the masses of Indian society. The implementation of rules and Laws should be governed by the single factor of unique development and imposing of levies should be beneficial rather than harmful to the common sentiment of all the people on the commencement of the 78th Independence day beginning from the Prime Minister himself to the common man that whole India should bloom only by the fragrance of development where the laws provide the equivocal factor of wholesome development. The youth of society should be equipped with the multifold prospects that should be opportunistic enough for providing them with tools and techniques for their better future and the nation development tactics.
