JAMMU, Jan 18: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) J&K has supported strike launched by the Jammu National Highway Worker Union affiliated with CITU against AFCONS Company at Panjgrian, Nagrota, wherein 70 workers have been disengaged by the company.
In a recent agreement took place between the management, administration and representatives of union in which Project Director NHIA, R.P Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner Ashok Kumar, CITU working president Javid Ahmad Zarger and office bearers of Jammu National Workers union participated and it was agreed that all the disengaged workers will be reinstated within three days. But despite lapse of more than 14 days, the agreement was not fulfilled.
Javid Zarger, working president CITU demanded immediate reinstatement of these workers.
