JAMMU, Apr 1: A protest demonstration was held by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), J&K in front of the Regional office of NHPC at Narwal in support of the issues of the contractual labourers/workers in the organization here today.
Om Prakash, general secretary, CITU while addressing the workers warned the management to allow continuing the services of the contractual workers engaged for the last over 10 years, providing full admissible benefits to them and stopping harassing the poor female workers. He warned to launch an agitation if authorities failed to address their issues. He further urged the contractual workers to get united to frustrate the evil designs of the management.
