JAMMU, June 29: City Police led by SHO, Basanti Bhat arrested four drug peddlers and recovered 1680 intoxicant capsules along with sharp edged weapons.
Acting on a tip of a special naka was laid at Shalamar by the city police under the supervision of SDPO North Kulbir Handa and SP North Jatinder Singh Johar and the police intercepted a vehicle JK02 G 1339 and arrested the four persons who were carrying the drugs and sharp edged weapons.
They have been identified as Pawan Sharma alias Dil son of Sanasar Sharma of Akhnoor, Anil Kumar alias Nadi, son of Amarnath of Kanji House, Jammu, Rahul Sharma alias Rinku, son of Ashok Kumar of Roop Nagar, Jammu, Gufran son of Mushtaq of Mastgarh, Jammu.
The Police has registered a case FIR Number 56 under section 8/20/2 INDPS Act and 4/25 RPC against them and all the four have been put under sustained interrogation.
