KISHTWAR, Oct 7: Cybercrime Investigation Unit (CIU) of Police here today recovered online defrauded Rs. 1,32,000.
Police sources informed that the money was cheated through mobile recharge frauds, unauthorized third-party app installations, malicious Telegram links promoting fake Aadhaar Card updates, as well as fraudulent trading apps like Aviator, Happybet, 11winner and Skywinner.
So far the CIU Kishtwar has recovered a total of Rs. 43,56,618 which was cheated through various online scams.
District Police Kishtwar has appealed to the public to remain vigilant against online frauds and avoid suspicious links, unauthorized app installations and sharing personal details online.
