Civil-Military interaction to fight COVID-19 pandemic held

BARAMULLA, Apr 17: Major General Ashok Singh, YSM, SM General Officer Commanding, Kilo Force visited Deputy Commissioner Office here to review the overall situation of the district amid the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Commanding Officers of local Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Nodal Officer COVID-19 Baramulla were also present during the meeting.
During the interaction, a threadbare discussion on the prevailing security situation with special emphasis on statues of COVID-19 spread, the preparedness to contain it and future course of the joint civic military action plan for containment the pandemic were discussed.
Deputy Commissioner, G N Ittoo appreciated the support rendered by the Indian Army to contain Coronavirus, SSP, Abdul Qayoom put forwarded his view on the present security situation in the district and also highlighted actions being taken jointly by the Army and police.
The GOC reaffirmed all possible support from the organisation in provide sanitisation kits and homemade masks to the civil administration.
