Civil Sectt employees discuss burning issues

JAMMU, Apr 16: J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee today discussed and deliberate upon the various pending issues of employees.
A meeting in this connection was presided over by the Chairman, Coordination Committee. It was attended by all representatives of J&K Lower Grade Union, J&K E&S (NG) Employees Association, J&K Legislative Employees Union.
During meeting, all core pending issues concerning the welfare of the employees and the present scenario arisen out of the recent Court directions were discussed threadbare. It was observed that the Government has shown cold response by not fulfilling their own commitments made from time to time during even number of meetings held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, J&K.
The major issues projected during the meeting included, allocation of slots to be notified and promotion from feeding services, inclusion of members of the J&K Secretariat (G) Services –I and II as members of the J&K Civil Sectt Employees Association and extension of the term / tenure of the Union from 2 to 5 years, revocation of SRO -202 of 2015, cadre review and clarity about the future road map for the E&S cadre (PD&MD), concurrence regarding review report of Legal Services by the Finance Department, promotion of Class IV orderlies of the Sectt, enhancement of TA/TMA and Medical allowance, removal of pay anomaly of J&K Legislative employees and settlement of all pending issues in Estates Department.
The Coordination Committee unanimously resolved that if the above mentioned issues were not addressed at the earliest, the Government machinery on the opening of the offices at Srinagar will be welcomed by the employees by bearing black armbands as mark of their protest/ resentment and also boycott the opening ceremony of Darbar Move.
