SRINAGAR, Oct 16: Civil Secretariat employees today held a protest demonstration in support of the demands of the Government employees. The employees raised slogans in support of their demands and dispersed peacefully.
This morning, a group of Civil Secretariat employees led by Rauf Ahmad Bhat, President Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union assembled in the compound of the Civil Secretariat and raised their demands. Shouting slogans the protesters expressed dismay over the inordinate delay in fulfillment of the demands of the Government employees.
The protesters said that State Government is bound to honour the agreement signed with the Government employees on September 15, 2011. They said the demands of the employees should be fulfilled at the earliest so that there is no further confrontation between the Government and the employees.
