JAMMU, July 19:  Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee (CSECC)  has resolved to hold protest demonstration in the Secretariat complex Srinagar on July 21.
In a meeting of the Coordination Committee held today under the chairmanship of  Ghulam Rasool Mir at Srinagar, the employees discussed various important issues concerning to employees. Among others, Maqbool Hussain, president Lower Grade Employees Association also participated.
The main issues discussed during meeting included, detachment of attached staff  as the directions of  Chief Minister  and decisions of Cabinet are not being followed, constructions of residential quarters proposed at Tulsi Bagh, Ahata Amar Singh Panjthirthi, Sarwal and Rehari Nallah are being delayed.
The matter related to  un-warranted enhancement on eatables by JKTDC canteen was also projected. They demanded that  Canteen be closed henceforth and new Canteen on the pattern of Corporate Office be immediately established on competitive and open tendering basis.
It was felt that employees were suffering badly on account of Estate accommodations due to negligent approach of the department.  It seems that the issue has been shelved by the concerned authority.
It is unfortunate that authorities have ignored directions of Chief Minister and decisions of the Cabinet by proxy posting of attached staff particularly in personal sections of  Ministers and senior Officers.
It was decided unanimously by the J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee to hold an hour protest on  July 21, 2017 (Friday) at 10.00 AM as a mark of resentment in the premises of Civil Secretariat, (Lawns) Srinagar to press the Government for immediate redressal of genuine grievances.
