Civil Sectt NGEU welcomes Govt decision

SRINAGAR, June 3: Following announcement of historic decision regarding enhancement of retirement age of State Government employees from 58 years to 60 years, by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the meeting with the representatives led by JCC Convenor Rauf Ahmed Bhat and followed by Cabinet decision, the Civil Secretariat Coordination Committee held meeting in the office of Civil Secretariat (NG) Employees Union to thank the Chief Minister for taking this pro- employees decision.
Mr Rauf hailed Chief Minister for enhancing recruitment age for the un-employed youth of the State by raising upper age limit to 40 years for general category and 42 years for reserved category. He termed the step a positive and constructive one hoping that this will go a long way to benefit the general public of the State.
Convenor JCC also extended heartfelt thanks to other Cabinet Ministers, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to HCM and Secretary GAD. There was jubilation all around among the employees fraternity of the State.
Meanwhile, several JCC leaders and Trade Unionist including Khursheed Alam, Amrik Singh, Balwinder Singh, Ganesh Khajuria, Gafoor Dar, Parshotam Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Babu Hussain Malik and PS Bhau have lauded the decision of Chief Minister to provide relief to the employees.
