JAMMU, Nov 3: The Civil Secretariat will reopen here tomorrow for next six months as part of practice of bi-annual Durbar Move, which was prevalent in the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir and continued after the State was bifurcated into two Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh on October 31.
First Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chandra Murmu will be presented the guard of honour on first day of re-opening of the Civil Secretariat here.
Durbar Move offices had closed in Srinagar, the summer capital of the Union Territory on October 25-26, and will reopen here on November 4. Move offices close in Jammu in the end of April to reopen in Srinagar in first week of May.
Administration has made tight security arrangements in the winter capital city during re-opening of the Durbar Move offices.
