SRINAGAR, Apr 22: Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Badar Durez, today visited the under-construction District Court Complex at Moominabad to take stock of its progress.
The Chief Justice was informed that 97% of the overall physical progress has been achieved on Rs 120 crore project. It was said that the Phase-I of the project spread over 244207 sq feet will suffice all the requirements of the legal fraternity.
It was given out that the court complex will also have car parking facility for 400 vehicles and the entire complex will be monitored by 68 CCTV cameras.
On the occasion, the Chief Justice directed the executing agency to include the facility of video-conferencing in the courts. He further directed to establish separate lady’s bar room in addition to ensure facilities for specially-abled persons.
He appreciated the executing agency for incorporating so many facilities in the complex which will provide a great relief to legal fraternity as well as to the common people.
The Chief Justice was accompanied by Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Chief Engineer R&B and other concerned officials.
