CJ treats representation of Bar as Habeas Corpus petition

JAMMU, Aug 1: State High Court has treated the representation of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu relating to mysterious disappearance of Advocate Raman Wazir since yesterday morning as Habeas Corpus petition.
While taking serious view of the matter, the Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar has directed the Registry to list the matter before the Bench tomorrow at 8.30 am sharp.
Meanwhile, First Puisine Judge Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar talked with Director General of Police and asked him to make all out efforts to trace out the missing Advocate. President J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu, Abhinav Sharma also talked with IGP Jammu, who assured that every possible step will be initiated to locate Advocate Raman Wazir.
Earlier, the office bearers of J&K High Court Bar Association held meeting with First Puisine Judge Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and thereafter the matter was also taken-up with Chief Justice, who treated the communication of the Bar Association as Habeas Corpus petition.
Meanwhile, J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu has decided to suspend work tomorrow in all District Courts and High Court Jammu Wing.
Even today the Bar suspended the work in all the courts, Tribunals and J&K High Court. The Bar has impressed upon the police authorities to expedite the search to know whereabouts of Raman Wazir.
