SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Chief Justice of India (CJI), Justice H.L. Dattu today visited summer capital of the State and took stock of the magnitude of damages caused to the infrastructure of J&K High Court and other subordinate courts in Srinagar.
He also visited make-shift High Court at Gupkar Road from where the functioning was started after the devastating floods in Valley.
While inspecting the High Court Complex, the CJI issued instructions to the concerned agencies to speed up the sanitation work and restoration of basic amenities like electricity, water in the court complex so that the functioning was started from there. He also called for early repair and renovation of all the subordinate courts which have suffered damages due to recent floods in the State.
Chief Justice of High Court of J&K Justice M.M. Kumar, Judges of J&K High Court, Registrar General, Suresh Kumar Sharma and judicial officers of subordinate courts and officers of State Government also accompanied the CJI.
