JAMMU, May 1: CJM Jammu, Jatinder Singh Jamwal has rejected the bail application of one Pawan Kumar, son of Krishan Chand of Preet Nagar, who was involved in throwing of acid on a woman.
After hearing Chief Prosecuting Officer Harminder Singh for the State, CJM observed, “the CPO has seriously resisted the bail application on the ground that investigation is still in progress and in case the accused is admitted to bail, he is likely to hamper the investigation”.
“The allegation against the accused in the present case is that he has thrown acid on woman with the intention of killing her. The woman is still under treatment with considerable burn injuries and doctors attending her have expressed their inability to submit a definite opinion about her condition”, the Court said, adding “the accused does not deserve the concession of bail at this stage”.
With these observations, the Court dismissed the bail application of accused.
