CJM rejects bail plea of bovine smugglers

REASI, July 27: Chief Judicial Magistrate, Reasi, Archna Charak today rejected the bail plea of four bovine smugglers, allegedly involved in impersonation and cheating to hide their real identity.
The accused, namely Faqir Mohd, son of Noora; Shaher Mohd , son of Noor Mohd; his brother Arshad Hussain and Mohd Aslam, son of Noor Hussain, all resident of Chassana in Reasi are involved in case FIR number 44/2023, under section 177/193/419/420 /120-B IPC at Police Station Chassana. This FIR is offshoot of FIR 42/2023 & FIR 43/2023, under section 188 IPC & 11 PC Act.
Their bail plea was objected by Additional Public Prosecutor Ashwani Kumar, who submitted that the accused persons were involved in bovine smuggling and in order to mislead the Police as well as the court, they had earlier furnished false bail bond by forging their names and photograph on the Adhaar card.
Court took strong note of the offences registered against the accused persons and rejected their bail plea.
