JAMMU, Apr 13: In a significant development, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu Amarjeet Singh Langeh has admitted accused PSI Rahul Sharma, Incharge Police Post Panjtirthi to bail on furnishing surety and personal bonds to the tune of Rs 15,000.
The PSI appeared in the court today as an accused in a criminal complaint filed by an Advocate wherein the court after taking cognizance had issued summons to the accused PSI Rahul Sharma. It may be recalled that on the last date of hearing, accused PSI Rahul Sharma had failed to appear in the court and due to his non-appearance, the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) had issued bailable warrants amounting to Rs 10,000 against him through SHO P/S Pacca Danga, Jammu.
On the instructions of the court accused furnished surety and personal bonds to the tune of Rs 15,000 as an assurance to the court that he shall appear on each and every date of hearing in the case.
After hearing Advocate Rohit Sharma with Advocates Mohinder Pal Singh Pali, Gagandeep Singh Lucky, Umesh Sharma, Azhar Usman Khan, Pankaj Sharma and a battery of lawyers appearing for the complainant and Advocate Anil Khajuria for the accused, Chief Judicial Magistrate admitted the bail bonds of the accused PSI Rahul Sharma and released him on bail.
