SRINAGAR: A century by S S Satradhar helped Tripura to pile up a huge score of 295 runs against Jammu and Kashmir on the first day of the four-day match of all-India under-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy at S K Cricket Stadium here today.
The host won the toss and decided to field first. The visitors were 295 for eight at stumps in allotted 90 overs with JR Banik (34 not out) and JB Battacharijee unbeaten on 13 not out.
It was only with the help of Satradhar’s mind-boggling innings, who scored 113 of 210 balls with the help of 18 fours, that Tripura was able to pile up a huge score on the first day as it lost wickets on regular intervals.
SB Debnath contributed 39 runs while TN Rudra Paul scored 35 runs. Paul was the first wicket to go after being trapped LBW off Aamir Sofi when score of Tripura was 80.
For home team Aamir and Musaib Farooq took three wickets each while skipper Paras Sharma and Mehfooz Zahoor Khan took one each.
