Class 10 students allege copying

Srinagar, Mar 19: Students of Class 10 who are taking their ongoing BOSE examination have alleged that the staff at Kokernag Government Higher Secondary School is openly allowing cheating and copying at one of its center.
The students said that at Center No. 1164, the supervising staff is helping most of the students to copy from others and also allowing the use of cell phones.
BOSE annual exams started today in the Valley and thousands of students appeared in their English subject papers.
They also alleged that the supervising staff threatened of dire consequences if they disclose it outside the center.
“The open copying by the students in connivance with the staff is disturbing those students who have worked hard for the examination. Also, such act is giving them a chance to score more than us,” they said.
They said that the checking squad of the BOSE should visit the center on exam days so that the mischief is not repeated.
BOSE Joint Director Examination Mehboob Hussain told Excelsior that they will look into the complaints of the students and will send their checking squad to the center on exam days so that the mischief is not repeated.
Director School Education Showkat Beigh told Excelsior that he will check which teachers are on the duty at the center and ask them about the complaint so that they don’t allow it again.
