JAMMU, Mar 20: A class 12th girl allegedly committed suicide today by hanging self at her residence in Talab Tillo area of city outskirts.
“Sneha Chandra (18) daughter of Laxmi Parsad, resident of Chhattisgarh, was found hanging this morning at her rented accommodation in Vishal Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu by a neighbour,” a police official said.
He said in unconscious condition, the girl was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
“After postmortem, the body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated by Talab Tillo police,” the official added.
