RAMBAN, July 26: A class 4th student drowned in Mahu nallah, falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal police station.
As per police sources, a class 4th student namely Mubarak Ahmed Khandey (9), son of Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, a resident of Mahu was taking bath in the Mahu nallah along with class mates, when he got drowned in the nallah.
After getting information, police team reached the spot and with the help of locals, fished out the body from the nallah and handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
Banihal police has taken cognizance in this regard.
