KISHTWAR, Nov 6: A minor girl has been allegedly gang raped in Paddar area of Kishtwar district.

Sources informed that the 12 year old victim, a student of class VII, was kidnapped yesterday in a car of Ertiga make bearing registration number JK17A 8629 from Gulab Garh area and another passenger vehicle Auto bearing registration number JK17A-8332 trailed her to Trinalla.
The FIR stated that the victim was raped and physically assaulted and on listening her cries the passersby rescued her from the culprits which as per the FIR were six in number including the driver of the vehicle involved in kidnapping.
A copy of the FIR is in the possession of the Excelsior.
Police has arrested the main culprit Talib Hussain, son of Akbar Hussain.
A case in this regard was registered in FIR number 25/2024 at Police Station Atholi U/S 65 (1)137(2)49 BNS and 04 POCSO Act and investigation started.
