RAJOURI, Mar 26: A 13-year-old student of Class 9th ended his life by hanging himself at his house in Ward No. 13, Peer Kanju of Rajouri Town, here today.
The deceased, namely Vishab Sharma, son of Kewal Sharma, was found hanging from a noose in his house. Though exact cause of taking extreme step could not be ascertained, it was speculated that the student ended his life due to anxiety as his school result was to be declared today.
Reports said that some religious event was going on in the house of Kewal Sharma when his son Vishab went to the room for taking rest. After some time, when father called his son, the latter did not respond. As the room was found locked from inside, the father peeped through the window and found his son hanging from a noose. The family members broke open the door and took him down from the noose but by then he had died.
He was immediately taken to GMC Rajouri but the doctor there declared him as brought dead.
The deceased student’s result was to be declared in the school today and he had probably taken some tension about it. Meanwhile Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
