JAMMU, Apr 2: A class 9th student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with ceiling fan at his residence in Shakti Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, a class 9th student namely Vikas Kumar, son of Lalit, of Uttar Pradesh, presently residing in Shakti Nagar allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with ceiling fan at his residence.
Finding him hanging, family members informed the police and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducting postmortem, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigation started.
