JAMMU, July 20: For granting Domicile certificate to spouse of a Domicile holder in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government today added a clause in the J&K Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020.
A notification in this regard was issued in exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article 209 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 15 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Decentralization and Recruitment) Act, 2010.
As per the notification, Clause 7 shall be added in the table appended to sub-rule (1) of rule 5 of the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020, after S No. /Clause 6.
This category of Domicile shall be issued by the Tehsildar and the applicant is required to apply along with Domicile certificate of the spouse and valid proof of marriage.
