JAMMU, Aug 21: Clerical cadre will observe two- day pen down strike on August 22 and 23 in support of their pending demand.
The representatives of Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All departments Clerical Staff Association, today launched campaign in various departments and Public Sector Undertakings to garner massive support for the success of this two-day strike programme on Friday and Saturday.
Senior members including Ravi Singh Bhau, Ravinder Singh, Rohit George, Sukhbir Singh, Yash Paul Sharma, Bashir Malik and others conducted extensive campaign in various offices including JMC, PHE, PDD, DC office, RTO, Irrigation & FC, PWD, DSE, CEO, Sheep and Wool and issued appeal to the employees to participate in two day strike in support of their long pending demand of removing pay anomalies. They said on June 3, Chief Minister had assured to the representatives of the employees to removal pay disparity but till date nothing has happened.
They also appealed the employees to get ready for Protest March at Partap Park Srinagar on August 27 if the Government fails to resolve their issue before August 26.
Meanwhile, J&K State Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (K) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Balwinder Singh today decided to support two-day strike programme of clerical cadre on August 22 and 23. Several senior trade unionists attended the meeting and appealed the cadre to strike work and observe complete strike.
Udyog Bhawan Employees Association, Rail Head Complex Jammu in a meeting held under the leadership of Surjit Singh also unanimously decided to support strike programme of clerical cadre on Friday and Saturday. Senior members including Abdul Aziz, Mohinder Kumar, Rajesh Mehta, Ram Dass Thappa, Ashok Dutta and others appealed the clerical cadre employees to observe complete strike.
